DM, Teddy and Lunch then Rossman

Yesterday I went to lunch with a few girlfriends. We had a great time, lots of laughs. I think we were at the cafe for about five hours. I bought new Essence skin care products from DM and a few essentials from Teddy and Rossman. I'll do my haul post tomorrow.

I'm off to bed now. Ciao!

Essence Gel Eyeliner vs E.L.F. Cream Liners (Review)

When I started learning how to use make up at age 16 all I knew about were pencil, crayon and liquid eyeliners. Thats all I knew, up until last year I heard of gel liners and never owned one. After I set up the house, I had free time to buy and play with make up. Here's my review on Essence and Elf liners.

These are the Essence liners. The black is 01 Midnight in Paris and the brown is 02 London Baby.

And here are the Elf liners the black is called 81160 Black and 81156 Copper.

I have the Essence on the left and Elf on the right. They glide on smoothly and pick up on the brush easily, only a small amount is required.

The Elf black liner is lighter than the Essence. Essence Gel liner is the blackest black I've ever owned, I did have the Maybelline liner but it looked more like the Elf. The Essence price tag of 2,49 euro it is more than amazing; Elf is $3, but for me I bought these on Black Friday when they had the 50% off promotion.

The Elf copper is a nice natural brown colour, especially if they look you're going for is a neutral or natural look. London Baby is more of a brown mauve colour with a bit of shimmer.

With these gel liners, it easy to transform to any look desirable. I like to have a bit of variety and will be buying other colours from both brands. When they set they are hard to move but will come off with make up remover or remover wipes.

Ciao, ciao!!

p2 Color Victim: 670 Elegant

I have been falling behind on updating my nail colours; I'm going to be better about it. I've bought a couple of P2 polishes, this was from a few weeks ago. Picked this up on a whim and I'm glad I did. I need to give my nail polish collection some more colour!

Artificial light

A nice nude beige. I'm real happy with this colour, its a nice fall/winter colour.

Ciao, ciao!!

Essence Skin Care and Nail Care Review

I'm always on the lookout for new skin care products. Now that I came back to Germany, its became more of a challenge to find skin care products on the economy. As a teenager, I would use Bebe skin care products and I loved it; I didn't have many breakouts as a kid but Bebe made sure they didn't get out of hand. Warning: I'll probably use the word "love" a lot in this review only because it is the truth. ^_^

As I was browsing the aisle (for the first time) I came upon Essence skin care. First thought, was 'Yes, its in English'. Bebe is not in english but I have a German cousin so back then it was easy. Essence instructions come in English, German, and French. I'm proficient in French so I would have been okay.

This soft cleansing gel, is what it says its soft. It leaves my skin smooth and soft without the dryness of other products that I've tried. Also, does a good job of removing make up, even waterproof. I always use a make up remover wipe before washing my face. It is really great especially for 1,95 euro, whats not to love?

Here are the refreshing wipes, which I use mainly to remove make-up one the days that I wear a foundation. I've used one other before these and they were the Nivea removing wipes, but these by far beat out Nivea and I loved those but love these Essence wipes even more. They remove alot of foundation and they take off waterproof liner and mascara and the best part is that they are gentle on the eyes, no burning what so ever. These cost 1,95 for a pack of 25.

Next up the pure skin toner/powder and anti-spot moisturizer. I have sensitive skin and I don't use a lot of toner anyway, but this is my favourite toner. This toner has powder, which I've never seen before in american or british toners. The powder is to give your face a matte finish, which is nice if you have oily skin. I use toner as part of my night regiment about 2-3 times a week to prevent new spots. It works like a charm, I have no redness or irritation and I love that its not super drying.

In conjuction, I use the moisturizer. Its lightweight and moisturizing and makes a good make up base. If I decide to wear foundation; I'll moisturize with this. Reduces spots very well, I use this before bed.

The holy grail of anti spot gels...as far as I know lol. This is my first but its fantastic; I'm not exaggerating. I picked this up the day after I burst a big spot on my nose (yeah I shouldn't have done that, Its a bad habit) and it left a wicked semi big spot on the side of my nose. So, I picked it up yeah sure I'll give it a try. Instructions say you can use it as many times per day as you want, I used it twice.

You have to be careful, it does leave a white spot after an hour or so. I digress, it worked and it worked quickly the first week I used it three times a day and by the end of the second week it was barely noticable. I still have the spot but you have to get nose to nose on my to see it. For spots coming on, I dab it on before bed and in the morning they are barely there. Love, love, love this product and I'm currently on my back up so its time to get some more!!!!

The best nail polish remover that I've ever owned. Its says its all in the name. It removes the toughest nail polishes while keeping your nails and cuticles moisturized. For someone like me that changes polishes every week, my nails are strong and moisturized. Essence also has a hardening and whitening remover that I will probably be picking up since this bottle is almost gone. It cost me 0,75 at Rossman and its 0,65 at DM but its still under one euro and its amazing.

Hope you like my review, lovelies!! Ciao, ciao!!
