Nail Colour: Kate RD-5

I tried a few Japanese nail polishes when I lived there but I bought most at Daiso or a small boutique in the mall. Movers lost my polish :(  and they broke all but one of my eyeshadows and blusher. I never got to try Kate or other high brands.

Packaging

I blocked the light from lamp. My camera wouldn't focus and it had a bad glare.

Artificial light but this is what it looks like in real life.

The formula was really thick. I've never dealt with a thick formula but its well pigmented and this is only one coat plus top coat. (of course underneath it a base coat.) Absolutely love this colour, never thought I could pull off a red...I dont know why I thought that lol. ^_^

Swap with Renee

I did a swap with Renee from Allglitzedup.blogspot and A Polished Life. We met on a Make up talk forum. Renee and I became friends and are going to do another swap in the spring. Thought it would be fun to do a swap so others can get a taste of Germany and vice versa. It was fun shopping for her and I hope she likes what I got her. She got a bite of Germany while I've got a bite of Japan. I lived there for two years and introduced myself to their cosmetics but not all.
This is what she got me:
Here are all my goodies!!

This cute dual eyeshadow had a small crack on the pink side, which spilled all over the inside of the case. I cleaned it up good as new. ^_^ I love animal print and the colours are cute (pink/brownish purple)

Blue glitter nail decoration I'll have to ask her how to use this, I've never used an individual powder like this before. It is very pretty.

Clear polish is called Bon Bon, I'll have to ask Renee if its a top or base coat. Pa has nice blue glitters and Tina Rose is a nice blue colour. Can't wait to try these.

One of the two requests I asked Renee for the swap was a red colour, since I didn't own a red and never wore red. There will be a seperate review post on this. ^_^

This is Majolica Majorica which is a branch off of Shiseido. When I lived in Japan, I tried random cosmetics and fell in love with Japanese mascara particulary this brand. It's like "hairspray for your lashes" meaning once you curl your lashes and put this on they stay curled ALL day and the lashes don't drop. Let me know if you want me to do a seperate review on this.

Hope you enjoyed. Please subscribe! ^_^

October Glossybox Review

I signed up for the Glossybox in September, I know I'm late about putting this out. I didn't receive the November box, I had problems with the bank and Glossybox. So yeah. I'll get the December-Christmas box, which everyone is hyped about. I don't know where my card to tell me the prices I only know 3. Here are the pics:

So I opened my box and got these goodies!! I am a sucker for packaging and its so well put together. J'adore!

A-Derma Lipbalm is made of Rhealba Oat Milk. "With its intensive repair properties this balm nourishes and protects damaged lips and restores softness.
I use this once during the day and before I go to bed. My lips (and skin) tend to get dry during cold weather. I absolutely love this, I need to know where to buy it. I would get the husband one. Price 7,95

This is my first time trying Moroccan Oil. Moroccan Oil is made for all hair types. I love it!! Its really moisturizing and smells so nice. I'll be purchasing this when my sample runs out. Sizes vary and so does the price.

Alo is a beauty drink. This one had mango juice, aloe chunks and another ingredient. I forgot to translate so I dont know. :) It is so good!! Can't describe it, you have to try it for yourself. I will be purchasing again.

Misslyn Sweet Lips #12. Nice pink colour, I like how the cap twists and snaps so you know that its secure. I love lip glosses so this is an addition to my collection. Price 4,95

Kaloderma age balance, day cream. I only use this about once or twice a week. Nothing really to say about this. Its alright.

Wish I had the November box but it is what it is. I cant wait for the Christmas box. They are having an advent calendar prize drawing, so I'll enter those hopefully I'll win. ^_^

I found a nice perfume for 2,99, its blackberry and it smells so good; there were 4-5 more but I decided on the blackberry and it was the last one. The had a green tea and an orange. They were nice. Of couse I love chocolate so I got two Milka bars. Here are the pics. Next post will be my current favourite products.

Nail colour: 66 Shiny Godness & 45 Date with the Night

I bought Date with the Night about a month ago, kinda forgot I had it. (Oops!) Its a brown colour with a grey undertone. I recently purchased Shiny Godness (I think they meant Goddess..??). I forgot about this colour because I picked up a gold lacquer by Flormar. I used the doting tool on my left pinky finger, it was my first time using it and it came out well. Here are the pics! Until next time! ^_^

Nail Colour: Peridot 531 Chanel

My friend Jodi sent me a nice care package. She said I was getting a nail polish and then a few days later she told me it was the Peridot!! I was super excited and it was on my secret wish list!!! So here are the items she got me. Its quality over quantity for me. I'm sending her package soon. Thought I would share it with you all. Picture time!!! ^_^

Here's what came in my package. I really needed a manicure set. I don't usually like pink but the designs are so cute!

Chanel logo on top of the bottle. My camera wouldnt focus without my hand being there.

Tada!!!

I absolutely love this colour!! Totally have Jodi to thank! It's a nice green gold. It went on easy I have on two coats and a top coat underneath that of course is the base coat.

Another view.

I know this is available at Sephora. You can probably find it somewhere online too. I know of two other dupes of this if your interested. Next post will be about my Oktober Glossybox. ^_^ Take care!

I couldn't decide and choose to have dual nails. Fabuless (thats how its spelled on the bottle) is black with silver specks. Movie Star is a nice grey. I've gotten many comments about it. I love the combo. The last picture is with flash but it doesn't show up like that during the day. Don't forget to subscribe!!! Hope you are enjoying your week. ^_^

Essence Skin Care Review

I picked up Essence at Rossman a few weeks ago. I need a new face wash and cream in my skincare regiment. I usually use Clean & Clear products, their sensitive skin care line is really good. I've used it ever since I was a teenager. Now, I think that it's not doing it for me anymore. I bought Essence on a whim, because it was affordable and my cousin (who also has sensitive skin) has been raving about it.

Text on the back says:

this especially gentle-yet pore deep cleansing gel reliably removes make-up, dirt, and impurities without drying out the skin, the precious active ingredients lime and cucumber clarify refresh and energize for deliciously soft, refreshed skin, and an amazing fresh-fruity smell that makes the daily skincare routine fun

-Apply morning and evening on wet face and gently massage in with light circular movements. Avoid contact with eye and mouth area. Rinse off thoroughly.

-After the cleansing routine, use the refreshing toner and cream from Essence My Skin.

My thoughts:

I don't wear foundation so I don't know if it washes it away. It doesn't dry the skin, it is quite moisturizing. The lime and cucumber smell isn't overly powerful like some products. It's a nice smell, very refreshing. You'll want to gently massage this product with your middle and ring finger in circular motions all over your face, these two fingers are your weakest and you should be gentle with your skin not harsh. That's just the way I've always washed my face. This gel is probably one of the best products I've used in a long time. It leaves your skin feeling cool and refreshed and very smoothe to the touch. I couldn't find the refreshing toner for "All skin types" I have sensitive skin so it has to be an all types or sensitive product. Overall, I love this product and I'll be buying it again.

This is the moisturizing cream gel. On the back it says:

This energizing cream-gel is intensively moisturizing and the light reflecting pigments inside let the skin glow.

-Use morning and nights after cleansing the essence my skin products, apply even on the face and neck area.

My thoughts: This cream is amazingly smooth and moisturizing. You don't need a lot. Just dab with your middle and index finger and apply with soft circular motions. You'll need to take time to work it in because if you don't blend it in, you leave white streaks on your face. The light reflecting is true, if you don't want to look shiny like a disco ball then I wouldn't use it during the day. If your in a building you won't see it, but in the sun oh yeah. Its not a overly powerful glisten but you can tell. Also, the scent is just like the face gel not overly strong its just right. Your skin will be so soft afterwards. I will be buying this again. I'll have to find another facial moisturizer for the daytime.

That's my review on the essence my skin. I would suggest it to a friend these are 1.95 Euro a piece. Great quality for a great price. Until the next review. Take care.

Quick stop at Rossman

I had to pick up some Ricola for my hubby. He's had a real bad cough and it keeps me up at night and I don't want to get either so I stopped by Rossmans. Now, to get to the coughdrops you have to go past the make-up center. I couldn't resist. ^_^ I got 2 nail polishes, but 1 was in the price reduced bin so that one is a blue-green colour it looks interesting and the other is a matte black which is easier to do designs on and I don't use a black colour on all my nails just one nail on each hand. I don't like black nail polishes with the sparkles in them, I don't know why I just never did care for them. I picked up a brown gel liner and a liner brush, all from my favorite brand Essence. I also picked up an eye mask and two face masks. I change my nail polish once a week so you'll have to stay tuned to see new colours.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Try not to catch a cold.

Nail Colour: Essence #83 Luxury Secret

Here is the nail polish from Essence that caught my eye. (It was in the Rossman haul) This 0.16 fl oz/5 ml will cost you 1,25.

Here is the colour with only one coat.

This is a better picture. I was amazed that at only one coat it was pretty much all I needed. I don't like lines or streaks so I added a second coat.

2nd coat and top coat.

An even better picture. I love this colour. I've been looking for a silver colour like this for a long time and I'm glad I purchased it. I just hope they don't discontinue it.

Rossmann Haul

I cannot get over how great Rossmann stores are!!! I live in a nice sized village/suburban area but the Rossmann in bigger towns and cities are huge, but, the one closest to me is awesome too!!! ^_^

Remember what I said about the drogeries. Well Rossman is one of them. They have everything from make-up, hair products, stationery, toys, cosmetics, snacks and they even have a small perfume/cologne counter.

I'm on a budget, so I told myself that I wouldn't spend more than €20. I purchased a lot of good stuff, so, my mission is to become beautiful on a budget. In fact, I was under budget. The total will be at the end.

So here's what I got:

This is the Essence gel liner from the Sun Club collection (Summer). The name is 02 BBC All Night Brown. It's brown with small glitter particles, its very pretty and glides on nicely. This liner has 3 ml of product. It was in the sales bin and cost me 0,70.

Another gel liner from Essence, this one is new (duh, lol). It's called 01 Midnight in Paris. There were only two left in the store. There was a little girl running around with her parent not watching her so when I went to the Essence corner something told me to look at the jar and I'm glad I did. There was a smudgy finger print in side. I was upset because the angle of the display it looked like that was the only one left so I tapped the tray and another one rolled out and here it is. If your intuition tells you something listen to it. I would have been upset going home and finding a smudgy print in my liner. Sorry tangent, cost of this was €2,95.

Ok, Essence has small themes and is constantly coming up with new colours and designs. When a themed products need to be switched they are discounted. (Lucky for me right? ^_^) This summer had a sailor theme.

Since I moved the movers broke all my shadows and blushers. They were old anyway, and I love looking for a bargain so I'm okay with it. This is a nice blue color and the white is good for a highlight.

Here are the swatches, they were one swipe. It has nice pigmentation? What do you think? This cute duo was 1,20. Of course that was discounted. ^_^

RL stands for Rival de Loop. I love how cute this is. I'm such a sucker for packaging and designs. Found this in the bargain tin.

See how cute this is?

Here are the swatches. The purple glides on smooth, the pink (middle) I had to constantly rub to get the swatch. and the white is a nice highlighter. Price is €1,59.

Next is the Essence nail polish remover. I discovered this when I was on a look out to find a remover that was tough enough to remove OPI polish that I had on at the time. So, I went to Douglas (cosmetics shop) and asked one of the attendants and she came back and said this was the best remover and the only she used. She was right!! It got of the OPI no problem and left my nails moistrurized and its not drying or harsh like other removers. This lovely 150ml bottle will cost you €0,75. I love this remover and the price!!

I was in need of a new facial soap and looked at this. I have sensitive skin so I have to be really picky about what I decide on buying. This is for all skin types. After much browsing down the aisle, I came back to this. The smell of lime and cucumber is fantastic. Its not like other cleansers perfume like smells, that are strong and I strongly dislike. At a price of €1,95, would be fine if I disliked it and discarded it. I'll try it for a week and do a review on it.

Same as the facial cleanser. This face cream has nice subtle aroma not overpowering, will be used in combination with the cleanser. Price is €1,95 and will be included in the review.

This beautiful silver metallic colour is Essence ^.^ I know I know but, I needed a silver colour and even though its small it stood out to me. The name is 83 Luxury Secret. The colour & go series costs €1,25.

On the left is the colour & go, named 45 Date with the Night. (Don't you love the names they come up with? Cute right?) The small bottle is €1,25. The larger bottle is from the Nails in Style series name 01 Style for Summernights. I found this one in the bargain bin for €0,80. I'll probably use this one as a sparkly coat it is quite sheer.

I do love a good mask. I need to switch it up a bit. I ran across these after picking up the facial cleanser. I decided to give these a try. I don't know if you can see it but it is a preforated middle. There are actually two mask. These are €0,49 each. Not bad for two masks.

As you know, when you are shopping you become parched. I was looking on the racks waiting for the line to dwidle down. I didn't feel like water at the time, but I am an avid water drinker. So, I settled on this which is pear and apple juice and half of it is mineral water. This is so amazing!! I literally felt like my taste buds exploded. The best part the whole bottle is only 59 calories. Price for this deliciousness was €0,49.

It was a fun trip and I'll be going back sometime in the near future the total of my small trip was €16,55.  I came under budget and with the left over money I had a brotchen sandwitch for lunch!!! Have a good week my lovely readers!!

Happy Shopping!!!!
